http://seafoamsales.com/motorTuneUpConsumer.htm

you can put it in different areas but it takes most of the carbon build up and blows in out your exhaust and cleans certain parts of your engine depending on where you put it it. its suppost to help with hesitation, pinging, stalling. my father said back in the day chevy had something like this and they said it was like a tune up in a can.

probally 8/10 people swear by this stuff and says it really help and also helps restore loss power

My old boss swears by it but my buddy put a can in his 240SX and it fouled one of the cylinder plugs. But I don't think my buddy did it right. Either way it goes in your vacuum hose and the motor coughs and chokes white smoke for about five minutes and then it runs a HELL of alot better. (Unless your my buddy of course)

it has a few diff types of applications, but most will use it as in injector cleaner, like the lucas stuff or try to clean the carbon buildup out of the engine. they also sell it at northern for use with small engines like mowers and go-karts. the people who use it seem to swear by it.

Ok well my experience with seafoam is great. I just put it in. I originally wanted to put it through the pcv valve but I found it was easier to put it in the break booster line. I started the car and let it idle for a little until it got warmed up. I unplugged the break booster line and made sure it had good suction and poured roughly 5.5 oz of the seafoam in a cup and let the vaacum suck it through the vaccum tree and pretty much instantly the car began to smoke out the tail pipes. Plugged back in the break booster line and shut off the car for roughly 5 minutes. Started it up again and watched all of the smoke coming out the tail pipes again. I let it idle for a minute or so and took it out for a spin. The throttle response has greatly increased. No hesitation, I noticed a smoother, steady idle. A little power icrease, not much but noticible.

But just like the warning says on the can, when you put in the seafoam make sure you are in a well ventilated area cause you will be putting on one hell of a smoke show and it stinks.

I highly recomend this product and give it a 10/10 and 2 thumbs way up.

You can get it at your local advance auto parts store. Costs about 5.00 and well worth it in my opinion.

Ford and GM both have a version of this stuff and it works good. By the directions with the engine hot, using a vacuum hose such as the pcv valve or just slowing pouring it through the carb(if old-school) put about half a can in and let the engine sit for about 20-30 mins. this allows the carbon to soak it up and soften it. start the engine and slowing injectthe rest of the can and then snap the throttle from about 1500-4000 rpm several times rapidly and then go look and see what come out the tailpipes. you'll be amazed if your engine was carboned up.

Ok, I understand now. When I was still working at the dealership, we used a 3 part cleaning system by BG. This stuf was the shizzle too. One part was run through the fuel line, another part was run through the vacuum line and the other part was added to 10 gallons of fuel and run till nearly empty. (Hey Reds, Ive still got some of the old tokens in my tool box! ) The BG salesman came by and did some demonstratons for us and I was sold on it. Its not really "Hocus Pocus", It actually makes a lot of sense once you see the presentation.
