Which Is A Better Motor The 1994-1995 5.0 Or 1996-1998 4.6

I am looking to buy a mustang and i was wondering which mustang was better to build up on a 1994-1995 5.0 or a 1996-1998 4.6

5.0 is better and cheaper. No contest.

This is a tricky question because modular guys will say that a 4.6l is much better than a pushrod 5.0l and vice versa. I think it depends what you like. In my own opinion, I think pushrods are way easier to work on and aftermarket parts are big, even the junk yards are full of explorers, rangers (5.0's) that you can exchange parts for your 5.0 mustang. That is only my opinion. Good luck on your search and let us know what do you think.

nah. 95 model year was the last year for the mustangs 5.0. Ford did use the 5.0's for a few more years or so in the Explorers. im not sure if they used them in anything else tho.

The 5.0 has the most and cheaper add-ons. However since the 2005 mustang S-197 came out , the mods will be increasing on the 4.6. As far as what you want to do its up to you of course. I have an 84 but love the look of the 99 to 04. Its just not in the budget for me.

no, it was not an add on feature, it was probably swapped in there...and they used 5.0's in f-150's until 1996
