How does it make horsepower by just changing them to like 1.6 aluminum? And whats better 1.7 or 1.6? I tried searching before posting cuz i was embarrassed to ask but no luck.

Going up in ratio increases valve lift allowing your engine to breathe better. In some cases it could also cause piston to valve issue if you are already a little tight.

The change to a roller fulcrum is a minimal horsepower gain but it will offer reduced friction as well as allow more travel for more lift, increased spring diameters and more spring pressure. A 1.7 ratio will increased valve lift over a 1.6 ratio which will provide some small horsepower gains.
