Need Combo Help
I posted this is another thread with no luck, probobly because everyone was done answering my original question and didn't want to look back, which is completely understandable. For a stock 306 block boiled bored honed. What is a good H/C/I combo to go with? I want a Sweet sounding cam, but completely streetable. I hate my ecam, IMO it sounds like ass especially with my crappy mac cat back. I want to make low to mid 300 rwhp with full bolt ons, my MAF, oh its a 1988 mustang gt, it has full bolt ons, pullies, TB, Long tubes, no cats, mac cat back, 73mm C@L, Cai... I really want more of a mid 300 horsepower with the H/C/I, im looking to spend under 1500 bucks, and i can install it all with my brother. I want nice smooth motor that will pull past 6k, since im not stroking it or anything i think that can be attainable. Thanks

I would look at one of Edelbrock's performance packages. They sell h/c/i packages for something like $1500-2000 and they are guaranteed to make some nice numbers. I think around 350-400hp. And being from Edelbrock you know its good stuff. It would be perfectly streetable. The cam might not be as aggressive sounding as you want, but any truly streetable cam is not gonna lope that much. Plus all the components would be engineered to work together. If that doesnt interest you, I would go with AFR heads. I always hear awesome stuff about them. Maybe the 165cc versions. Not sure about the cam or intake though.

Yes the TFS kit includes a cam. AFR dosnt have an HCI combo that is why you here so many peeps suggest the TFS kit, as it takes all the guess work out of setting up a combo.

Im selling the heads because i dont need them really. In the Classified section, ive got a thread with all the details about the heads, and everything that comes with them. They are in excellent condition, with only 3 passes on them.

it does, but i didn't know what kind of cam you wanted, you said you did not like the on you had, so i suggested to call crane because they can tell you what you are looking for
