you can get an msd ignition that lets you run at 14 degrees timing and then when the nitrous arms it takes it down to 10.....it also has like a two step rev limiter.....i think i would definitely do that if i did nitrous

5.0s are tough engines, they can take a 150 shot all day long as long as you run colder plugs, good gas, stay off the rev limiter and retard the timing you'll be fine



i used to spray a 75 shot ( back in the late 90s )

well i never used nitrous before so why would i start with a 150 shot, thats just stupid you cant jump into it like that the 75 shot threw me right the f back in my seat and pulled hard, not saying that a 150 isnt good but its using more nitrous and aroundn here its 50$ to fill

yea nitrous can be expensive , if you have to get your bottle filled at the local track they charge 8 bucks a pound !!

and I thought $4 a pound is a ripoff.

It costs way way less if you buy it in the large cylinders and get your own pumping station.

around here they charge 2 to 3 a lb and if you catch the owner of hot rod barn in a good mood you can sometimes get it for 1.70 a lb
