1984 Capri

I'm thinking of dropping a 289 into my 1984 Capri...just wondering what your thoughts are on this and where i would go on the net to easily find some performance parts to beef it up some...thanks

yea i have the motor already...its going to need some repairs though...it has been sitting around for years...

u got a 83... i got an 81... u got any body parts?? need right headlamp ring, mines crashed & broken...

i think the motor will fit no problem...
go with a 351 windsor, more power, about same cost to build...

Hey man....sense you already have a 289 laying around, u mite as well build a mock boss....its a 289 block with 351c heads and a custom intake manfold...im not sure what you have to do to the heads i kno you have to block off some water passages...its a sweet mod and makes some good power out of a sleeper package...i was thinking about buy a 65 and doin this to it but i found my 84 5.0L capri for 3k and it only had 65,000 miles on it so i jumpd on that deal lol but ya check into that idea sense you have the engine already....o ya the engine will fit with out a problem
