castrol gtx is the best conventional oil in my opinion.... i dont know about the 10w-40 i always use 10w-30... i will be using AMSOIL in my car now though..

10w40 is just thicker i use it in my work truck

I use that stuff in my daily driven s10 zr2 and it's been great.

Just pick one brand & stick with it. I have always heard switching brands causes sludge build-up.

Always used it , never had a problem. 10-40 might be a bit thick for a car unless your in hotter weather, it might be ok for the summer but I would keep using on brand and the same weight.
