PA has an exemption for any car driven under 5000 miles a year, classic or not. No such thing in VA. I drive my 91 about 200-500 miles a year and 100 of that is only to get rid of the old gas so I can pass the test. I put about 1500-2000 on the 88.

well these are the guidlines that u must meet to get classic car insurance (usaa)

must be at least 15 years old
can not drive more then 3000 miles a year
must have a primary vehicle for each person on insurance other than the classic car (daily driver)

i think the reason u cant drive it more than 3000 miles is cause the emission purposes beings u wont be getting emissions then they dont want u polluting the air all the time...

and u just pull the speedo out and there is a little rail with star gears just pull that off and spin the rollars to where u want..
