1/8 Mile Times

Hello, I have an 89 lx 5.0 vert with an auto. tranny. I took it to a local drag strip and was running in the low 10's. The car is still relatively stock:cold air intake,u/d pulleys 70mm maf,3.73 gears. Is this really poor???

yes. you should be running 9.5s in the quarter or better. can you post your time from 60' through 1/8? and what speed do you trap at?

9.0s in the 1/8 roughly equal 14.0s in the 1/4

that is true bc i got 10.0 in the 1/8 and 15s in the 1/4

i run mid 9s 1/8 and mid-high 14s quarter with my 6, but the 5.0s are tq monsters and with a decent 60' can go low 14s with those mods easy
