Custom Interiors
Does anyone have any special work done in their mustangs interiors, like custom fiberglass panels, dashes, or any other related areas. I plan on glassing a new dash this summer. Wondering if anyone else has done something similar. If you have post pics if ya can, or throw out any ideas you may have.

Here are some pics of my dash going in my 82 GT 5.0, I have completed the dash and have wrapped it in black carbonfiber. I will take some pics of it and upload it on monday. But here are some of the pics of the fiberglass underlay.

That looks pretty cool. I'm still working on my concept. I like the way you positioned the gauges on the passenger side. Cool stuff. Any plans for the rest of the dash? For the top section of my dash I'd like to have a motorized panel in the center, to hide some things, like the start button and possibly the stereo's head unit. I was considering getting a touch screen for the center console for my music and stuff but I also plan to put a screen in the passenger side, and hook it up to a small pc, soo i thought the added screen would be unnecessary. I'll throw some sketches up soon!

Well the entire dash is going to be black carbon fiber, I have most of the dash done, I am flushing in a 10 inch screen into it. I also have rewired the whole car so no wires will be showing under the hood but the wires going to the motor, the eng box, voltage regulator, and batter are in the car, The wires that ran across the firewall now run inside the car all the gauges are aftermarket. I work at a car audio and performance show so this is just a little side project.
Here are the pics of the finished upper dash, I can make there for people this one is fiberglass underlay with Black carbon fiber over it. I do ALOT of fiberglass custom work for speakers and interior pieces so if anyone is needing ideas or wanting something let me know. Yes there is a little wrinking on the side but I didnt feel that is was worth it to fix since that does not show when it is installed. ![]() ![]() ![]()

very cool dash, Nice JL inserts, I am going for clean and simple everything is going to be simple and just clean lines, I want it still to be a daily driver, we have JL as one of our products but I think I am going to go with kicker and sony deck, nothing to extreme or loud. I will try and post some of the more wild stuff that me and the shop have done.

It all depends on a what you have to spend and what you are wanting to do. JL is very good but you cant discount other companies that are alot cheaper then JL. Sony is one of the leaders now in headunits, yes there subs are not the best, but there new truck amps and headunits are about the best headunits around. They have one of the only headunits that can control Ipod nano, and mini with out and external addon, also they can control ipods with I pod flash they have the fastest loader of Ipod displays, plus they have 5v preout and HD, sat ready.

I'm a pretty big infinity fan. Good price and excellent rms at least on their loud speakers, which is all i have of theres. I plan on getting some component speakers of theirs. Also that dash is awesome 95opal. I'm going for a little more racy feel than modern but that looks incredible!
