Modified 89
I receintly got ahold a 89 GT. It has had several owners and modifications. Someone has done some rewiring. The MAF system is gone. It has what I believe is a 351 cu. in. with 4 barrel Holley. There is a problem with the starting circuit. The starter will not crank unless, the after market oil pressure gauge impulse line is in contact with the fire wall. Also while the starter is cranking that impulse line is arcing were it is in contact with the firewall. The mainground wire from the starter relay to the engine appears to have been getting hot also, because the insulation is severlly cracked and deteriorated.After the engine starts and the starter is no longer cranking all is fine.

Replace the ground that is on it now with a new and better ground and you should be all good...
