I want to start off by saying u guys are great and have provided me with vast loads of excellent material. Now there is a question i have been pondering and have not found an answer completely. I was lucky enough to have gotten my hands on a 88 gt w/ 130k miles. The car wasnt in the best shape once it was completely stripped but not awful. Most of the body work has been done and am waiting to decide on a paint job. The floorpanel has been rotted away from years of moisture but that is been taken care of. Now the question is concerning brakes. Being 4lug and some of the threads being shot, it was decided to bump it up to 5. I went to the local yard and found 2 rear driver axles from a pair of bronco II's for 60 bucks. So i am assume i just have to get rotors, calipers, a mounting bracket, upgrade the master cylinder and im set??? Am i limited to the kinds of calipers i can get. I keep thinking as long as the mounting bracket matches the calipers it shouldnt matter or i am dead wrong? For the front im still on the look out for a 94-95 spindle set so i can up to a 13'' set but the same question for that am i limited to the type of calipers. Can anyone share their brake setup. thank you in advance for any input.
