daily driver? because if not i would reccomend the mickey thompson ET streets or the ET radials, but if its a daily driver and might see rain, id suggest neither one of those tires.

I don't think you can get a true slick in 17". You can get a drag radial which actually has some grooves or channels in it for dealing with water. MT, BFG, and Nitto all make drag radials. I run the Nittos on my car. These are generally considered the hardest rubber and will therefore last longer. They will not hook as well at the track as the MTs. What application are you going to use these for? If it is your daily driver, I would suggest a good street tire instead of the drag radials. I have a buddy selling his 285x40x17 Eagle F1s with less than 3000 miles. They are great street tires.

I love my nittos...

My best friend has a set of nitto 450's on his fox and he loves them...

Drag Radials are great but I dont recommend them for DD cars...For the track they are great...

Does it rain much out in Toledo? How do they handle the snow??lol

I just love my nittos...I used to run BFG Drag Radials 24/7 on my thunderbird...But then I sorta wrecked pretty bad with my thunderbird I stopped...Ill run drag radials if it is going to be nice outside or if I am going to the track...The rest of the time my nittos 555's do jsut fine...

Yeah if it was guaranteed not to rain i would run drag radials/slicks but if it starts raing you might as well forget going places...

My nittos are fine for DD use...

A good place to buy nittos from is www.dicounttiresdirect.com
