ok electrical problems...
just got back home, havnt touched the stang in over 3 months! it starts FIRST TRY NICE and strong, put fresh 93 oct GAS in it and some oil, start the cruizing, i drive it all the way home and it dies at the end of my street... then it takes like 20 minutes to start...(mind u i just put a brand new optima battery in it) so it finally starts and as im driving it dies like 6 times that day, next day same thing it keeps cutting off on me... im thinking maybe alternator or bad ground? Not sure...my battery is in my trunk (relocator kit) im not sure i brought it home and tightened the starter soleniod and the positive wire from the battery and i checked the ground in the trunk, im confused it never ever gave me problems, and now this... another thing right now i have no cluster so im driving with no guages, that wouldnt make a short right?
any ideas? 1989 Mustang GT, 5 speed MSD TFI Coil, MSD wires, CAI, exhuast and LOTS of weight reduction... |

i think i figured it out, its my ground from my battery in the trunk i need to run a longer cable and ground it to the block, not the body... when the ground cable heats up, the electricity cant flow through it because of friction, and then my baby dies... then it cools and starts up again... i think i got it, so i need to buy a long ground cable with the same guage as the positive and run it to the block...

you want that thing grounded right to the block. the block is the best ground in your car. and it could def of been your TFI module on your dizzy but i would def get a new wire and ground it to your block and if that doesnt do it then its your TFI module happens very often with these cars
