BRAKE upgrade for fox?


ok so my 89 gt dosent stop as good as my dads powerstroke dually I think I need to fix this do I needs different discs or bigger calipers maybe rear disc conversion keep in mind I just changed the pads two days ago

rear disk? dont you use like 90% front brake and only like 10% ebrake on rear?

get bigger disks and calipers in the front and ill bet u notice a difference

i just mean in general, when you hit the brake dont u use like 90% front brakes?

Its more like 70-30%. And drums are fine if they are working properly. check condition of ur drums/pads and did u use ceramic pads? that could be why if u did. If u upgrade to 5 lug ull get bigger rotors/ calipers

it's like 70% I believe.........

get a strange engineering rear disc brake conversion kit. It says it will bring the stock stopping distance of 60mph-0 @ 160ft down to 130ft. It's only $380. Between that and getting some nice EBG front pads and rotors you'll be set.... That what I'm planning on doing

start by bleeding the brakes. If it hasn't been done in awhile, you will notice a huge difference.

what rear conversion do you guys recommend to change it to disc with 4 lug if possible.
