Bogging down

while driving the engine feels real bogged down even if i depress the accelerator it makes no difference until it either backfires then it takes off, or it will just pick up out of nowhere and take off. things i have tried are
cleaned cap and rotar
new plugs
new wires
new fuel filter
cleaned MAF
not sure if it is a sensor issure or what, HELP, has anyone else ran into this problem, it all started one day while driving down the expressway just out of nowhere, it has just been getting worse

Distributer hold-down clamp come loose? Probably a longshot, but try turning your dist. by hand right now and see if it turns.

Mines doing the same thing...no back fire but when Im cruising it bogs and sputters but then at WOT it feels like it kicks something out and runs right.
