Belt Size? (No Smog Pump)
I just removed my smog pump and wanted to know what the new belt size would be instead of buying the smog pump delete pulley? I have a '93 fox. HELP !!!

to be honest w/ you and I don't know if everyone will agree but I have a built up engine and no smog pump and had a belt to run it w/ a/c and it literally ripped my alternator pulley right off the stem becuase the tensioner put too much pressure on it. might be a freak accident but I'd spend the 60 bux and just gt the delete kit. thas what I ended up doin anyways

try this
I been runnin my 87 GT for like 7 months with just the shorter belt and had no problems because of it. Here is a belt length diagram if it will help ya any. I just used a string,wrapped it around all my belts that i wanted the crank to turn and took aff an inch and a half but you local auto parts store would be able to get you the right size belt if you measure (with a string) around all the pulleys you want to use and just tell them to compensate for a tensioner.

I just went through on my 93 lx. With A.C. delete and no smog pump I used 74 inch belt. Hope that helps.
