Dual Alternators?


Hey guys i was watching something on tv about cars and they were restoring one and they put 2 Alternators on it. And i was just woundering what it does, is it worth it and has anyone tried it? Just woundering, thanks guys! - The Novice.

doubt your gonna need it unless you have a huge stereo system or PLARS missle system your trying to run. It just creates more amps to run more accessories. it will also kill your HP.

I've never heard of dual alternators but I have seen dual blowers.

And I though 6" cowls were tough to see out of.

Like everybody has said before, the only time you need two alternators is when you have a massive current draw in the car. and usually you can solve that with a high output alternator anyway, so there is no need, except for extreme circumstances.

I'm gonna run dual smog pumps...I really hate smog.

Don't forget, converters for mufflers too. And dual EGRs.
