timing cover


how hard is it to do the gaske on a timing cover?

The main pain is where the oil pan gasket and front cover meet. With the locator dowels in the block that position the front cover, it makes it a pain. I remove the dowels and it makes it alot easier, you just have too spend a little more time lining up the cover and put some down pressure on the cover when you tighten it so the pan gasket seals properly.
