Longtubes
What is the easiest and fastest way to install a pair of longtube headers on a 90 foxbody. Thanks
Posted in exhaust section too for those who like to complain about where a certain topic "should" be. But i don't get many answers there. Thanks |

Take the stock headers off and put the new ones on....
How hard or easy depends on the type of header. Either way its not very hard. Make sure you take both motor mount nuts off so you can jack the motor up. That will make things alot easier. I'd put the front of the car on jackstands too.

You don't have to pull the motor. Just raise it up a bit. You can use a floor jack and a block of wood and jack on the harmonic balancer.

so longtubes on a manual won't bolt up to a auto? Damn, that ruins my whole plan unless it will.

Headers are tedious to put on. Plan lots of time 3-4 for the install depending on the make of the header.

HUH
![]() These headers are probably about the cheapest headers in the world. I am sure that installation would of been easier with another brand, but you are probably in the same financial situation as me with your college expenses, so the choice is yours. I paid about $125, and had some headaches, or you can spend $300-400. Depends on your budget
