What exactly is the dif between a GT and LX?(Hatchbacks)

Hey guys i was woundering what all was really different between a GT and LX? I mean i know the "body kit" But was there much of a difference any other ways and what were they? Did they put out about the same HP, and so on?
Thanks guys! - The Novice

I've always heard the lx's are lighter. Not sure if it is because of body kit pieces or what. I've also heard the gt suspension is a little stiffer but I'm not sure about any of that, just what i've heard others say

LX's are lighter, GT's have the ground effects and an interior option, and everything else is the same.

one other thing that is different, the low coolant sensor was standard equipment on a GT and an option on the LX, most LXs have the non-sensor style overflow bottle.

the ground effects alone make the GT weigh about 60 lbs. more than the LX

but on the regersation forum it says mustang LX so i really dont think that there was a differnce in the earily years of the fox body

yeah i should have been more specific. i was talking about the 87-93 models. the earlier foxbody GTs look more like the 87-93 LXs IMO
