I Have No Idea Anymore. Any Ideas?

So.. Back again.

If you are interested in the end of the last topic that was made by me, here it is:

Problems caused by:
-Bad installation of intake gasketing. Had to replace.
-2x improper rocker installation. Fixed.
-1 side of the engine needed a new valve cover gasket.

Here is the new problem. Car runs, I just re-tuned / timed it yesterday. But it seems, at more than I would estimate, 15% to 20% throttle, it's ok. But any more than that, and you hear a heavy intake of air rushing into the engine, the engine also goes to about 500rpm. Sometimes, it stays alive, sometimes it dies. At full throttle, you also get the same thing, 500 rpm or nil.

-Milled over fuel system in hopes to remedy the situation, and I just wound up spending more money on things that didnt 100% fix the problem

Heres what was done:
-New fuel pump (BBK)
-New fuel filter
-New TPS (still have to make sure its calibrated correctly, tho)

Today, I plan on going over the fuel system yet again with a double check, and confirming TPS calibration. If I get brave, I am going to pull the fuel rail and injectors, and check filters, and confirm operation.

Open to suggestions. (again) [The car is starting to push it's luck ]

Clean up your MAF sensor with a carburetor cleaner spray can
Check your fuel rail pressure - your regulator may be bad
Check for vacuum leaks
or it could be an electric fault and has nothing to do with the fuel system or the throttle body

Replaced the fuel pressure regulator several weeks ago. In addition, checked over the injectors. They seem to be operating as they should, and don't appear to be clogged. There does seem to be an interesting lack of fuel pressure and air in the line, from an unknown place. Going to drop the tank down and play with it today..

Are you leaking fuel anywhere under the car?

A good way to check is to park the car...Lay cardboard under the entire car...Let it set over night...When you come out in the morning you can see where anything has leaked out and that might help you alittle bit...

Got more progress! Checked the fuel system for leaks that were visible. Nothing. Dropped the tank again to double check my work after installing a BBK 155 flow pump. Lo and behold. The little rubber tube between the pump and then top of the assembly was split right down the side. Replaced it. Runs better, but still wont give throttle above 50%. Next week I am going to replace all 8 injectos with new ones, and do the distributor and ICM. Thanks for the motivation ChrisJ. Much appreciated.
