Leaky doors? Windows?

Anyone here have the problem with leaky doors on there gt? I have that problem but what I want to know is this, is there a way to stop it??? If i put new seals inside the door will this help?? Please help. I am floating away...

yeah that will deffinetly help...i had to do that to my 88gt....make sure you install them properly with enough sealer underneath them so it won't be pointless

is there a way to find out how to install them??? The seals look good to a point, also I have to put pins and bushings in my drivers door, but i don't know how to take the seals out and put new ones on... I think i also have the quarter panel window leaking, i will have to pull the whole side off the inside so i can get to it, lol.. in progress.. I am going to have to get a tarp and just cover it up till after the first of the year because money lol... My work slowed and I am scared to spend to much on my stang right now.. lol. Thanks

I had to put new seals on my 91 LX...I got the seals from JC Whitney I think...Its not that hard to install...Should come with directions...

the stripping doesn't cost much at all. alot of place like checker and napa will have it in stock. if not look in any mustang catalog and it will be in there. and he's right that it's not hard at all to do. good luck....

JC Whitney was the best price I could find around...They had the whole kit for a nice price...THat is the way I would go...

I did my 89LX with weather stripping I got from 50resto. I've heard good and bad about them but I've always had good service. When you do it make sure the seam where to two ends meet is along the bottom of the door. All you have to do is pull off a couple pieces of trim, pull off the old and put in the new. Took about an hour from start to finish. Good Luck!

it doesn't tell me lol.. anyway I think u can have either or, not both.. So I think I will take my old seals off the body and put the new ones on the door, i think it will seal better and help keep out the rain lol... I am going to try that combo deal they have for 59 bucks.. Thanks..

Thats not a bad price...

Me personally I would put it back the same way that it is now though...

maybe one of the fox body guys can run out and look at theirs real quick and let you know for sure...

i have a leak on the passenger side of my 01 V6 but i'm not sure its from the window or door... it doesn't have to rain and the passenger side back seat floor part will still be wet... i'm thinking the a/c tubes are stuffed up? anyone have an idea?

Hey rednsilver 91, I am not for sure what the problem is.. i know that i spent all day on putting new brake shoes and new wheel cylinders on my 91gt, and bled the system only to find out that a caliper is leaking, dang it. lol.. A wheel cylinder was leaking was my problem before.. LOL.. We have to figure out how to fix these dang leaks..

yes i think so too RNS, i just now looked into my stang and low and behold, guess what?? RAIN!!!! OMG.. I am going to pull the rear panel off today and store it somewhere till I can get this fixed, it looks like it is comming from the rear quarter panel window...

well i traced the leak, but when i felt of the carpet where i thought was the trail, It wasn't wet, it was only wet in the center of the carpet. i felt me headliner and it wasn't wet, this is wierd, WONDER IF SOMEONE IS PISSING IN MY car when it rains??
