head porting


should i take the gt-40s and have them port and polished or go with an aftermarket set? Im looking to spend less but i want it to perform right!

save your money and when your close, sell your heads and buy a good set of used heads.

I got some edelbrock heads with only 2 hours on them in great shape on e-bay including shipping for about 700 bucks, No work needed.
I don't know how much your porting will cost, but say a couple hundred dallars minimum, could be much more depending on how much work is done. Plus any machine work needed.
