How much is a good price for Long headers


im looking for some long headers and im not sure on how much i should be paying
any good ideas

Not a bad header for the price. Some tweaking will be required.

he's asking what's ideal to pay not asking for a reccommendation and don't get those Summit headers get something worth it... Mac, Bassani, BBK etc... it will range from 250-380 for a good set...

WELL, in that case spend $1000.00 and order up a set of Kook's, don't forget the ceramic coating inside and out to keep them nice.

I have heard that those summit ones aren't really that bad. Like trueblue1 said a little tweaking is necessary. From what I've heard, you're supposed to cut the flanges in-between each collector pipe to keep them from warping and they work fine.

I've still got a set laying here and I used them for 4 seasons. I changed to Hooker Super Comps when I changed heads and needed bigger primaries. I paid $500 (with coating) for the Hookers and to be honest, the quality sure as hell was not $400+ worth. The Summit headers sealed fine with the flanges separated and other than adjusting them around the steering shaft they fit fine. More money does not always mean more better.

Is that coating just for looks? Or does it ad any HP?
