AOD TO T5 in a foxbody


HI i converted my 91 gt to 5 speed i put the clutch and all the needed stuff in and putthe tranny in went to hook up the crossmember and the tranny doesnt go high enough plus the shifter hole is about one inch off like the motor and tranny need to be moved abck and the tunnel of the car needs to be banged up a little. Is there something im missing do i need different mtoro mounts,crossmember? PLease any thing will help

i did it to mine and i had to cut bout 1/2 inch off the shifter hole

was it hard cause i really want to do it how much was the grand total how long did it take?

its so not worth the pain stick to the auto. im 16 and im assuming its your dd you will just have probs unless you buy a fresh tranny which aint cheap or unless you have some experienced help

i went from an aod to a t5 in my 89. used a crossmember for a 5 speed. so thats probably part of your problem and make sure you got the right 5 speed mount to mount onto the cm. and i didnt have to cut any out of the hole in the hump to fit the shifter...

I had to cut my tunnel/shifter hole to clear my shifter...

A bigger motor with a lot of parts they said would make me go faster......

just gett a nice shift kit + a shifter so you can shift your auto and your set those are like 200+ bucks
