There are a lot of them for sale and they are pretty mean. One of my neighbors had one and ran a 12.6 with just a cold air intake pipe, a tuner, and 285 BFG drag radials.

Yeah, I think they are rated at 315 or 320 hp NA. They have the 4 valve cobra motor in them, but no blower. A lot of people put a centrifugal supercharger on them and that really wakes them up!

Mach 1s were rated at 305hp and 320lb ft of torque. The motors in the Mach 1s are not the same as the cobra 4 valves.

They are the same as the older cobra motors. They have the same part number and everything. They are not the same as the 03/04 cobra motors.

Which cobra motors? The 99/01s? Nope. They're different. There certainly not the same as the 96-98 motors either. Having the same part numbers doesnt mean the motors are the same. These motors are interchangable, which means they use alot of the same parts. Most of the parts that work on the cobras will work on the Mach 1... but that does not mean they share the same motor.

2001 Cobras have the same cam/valve covers as the 03/04 cobras.. they share the same part numbers. Are those motors the same because they use the same valve covers?

You dont need boost or Nitrous to go 13s with a 2v either. Basic, and i mean basic bolt-ons and gears will get you 13s with ease.

Why? I've put 20+ bottles through my 2002 GT.

I have na offroad h-pipe, 4.10's, ET Streets, MGW shifter and an NX 100 shot. On motor it goes 13.5's. On the 100 shot, consistant 11.9's-12.0's all day long.

Dont be scared of the spray......let the balls drop and slap an NX kit on it. you wont regret it.

and you wouldn't even need FI to run 12's at a good altitude.. i just recommended FI because of the coolness factor and the fact that alot of people couldn't drive good enough to run that fast with just suspension gears and slicks

Yeah, your right they were different, just looked it up, my bad. They had cams similar to the 5.4, but with aluminum blocks and 03/04 cobra heads.

two buddys of mine, 1 with a 2000 gt 5 speed, gears slicks 125 hp kit... runs 12.8

other 1 i think its a 99 or 2000 hit a 13.1 with 5 speed street slicks and 75hp kit
