electrical problem


ok heres my question i put my motor and trans in yesterday for the most part everything was plug and play except my coil what my problem is that my fuel pump wont come on nor my windows wont roll up and down the guy who painted my car took the wiring harness out of the car and put it back in do you guys think that maybe he didnt hook up a ground oh yeah i did check my fuel cut off switch i ohm it and its working and im getting 12 volts to it and the relay under the seat seems to be working its getting power correct me if im wrong but doesnt that relay work to ground thats what turns it on i have a ground to my engine from the firewall and i grounded the engine to the battery and the firewall to the battery i have a few things that whoever owned the car before added up front that i dont know if there grounds or positives ive touched them to both and some do nothing and one makes the windshield wiper motor go crazy im lost any help i would great appreciate thanks guys

oh yeah i didnt mention the fuel injectors arent pulsating i put a test light on one and i got nothing so what ever it is it goes to them to

Sounds like you computer relay, they are known to go bad frequently. The computer relay powers the fuel pump relay switching side, also the injectors. esean had this same problem not too long ago.

Look at the lower right hand corner of this wiring diagram.

eh your seats are permanent magnet i believe...the seats and windows i would probally check the BCM I THINK...sounds liek someone was messin with shit on yur car before you had it that they werent supposed too ha

ok thanks for the help i checked the relay ryan but i think its good but i checked the injectors again and all i get is a steady dim light and no pulsating you got any ideas

The pulse is too fast for a normal test light, you need a noid light. Also the pulse is on the ground side, not the 12V + side. The 12V side is constant on, a dim light is not enough current to open injectors.

Do you have a positive at the red wires going to the injectors when you ground to something else?

How did you check the relay? Sometimes they still click, but dont work. Check all fuses and fusible links just to make sure.

hey thanks for the help we got her running it ended up being to wires in the wiring harness that look like they got pinched they went to the computer so we stripped them and spliced them back with male female connectors and it worked thanks for all the help again ill post a video of it running
