Yea, it would be cheaper and easier. Then you could sell whats left of your EFI to make it even cheaper.

Well a good carb is going to cost you at least $400-500. Then you need an intake and a mechanical/vacuum advance distributor...cheaper??? depends on how much damage you have there, but probably not.

I tore into it today and took off the upper intake, then the ecm wire harness. It was TOAST!!! But i think im gonna stay fuel injection. It would be to expensive to go carb. So im gonna get a complete wire harness and both the vacuum manifolds that sit on the passenger side strut tower for 250 Lucky for me there is a mustang junk yard in MD where my dad lives. I spent all day cleaning the shit outta the engine bay getting all that black stuff off everything. Sanded and then gave it a spray of some high temp engine enamel. Then spent about 1 and a half hours trying to buff out the upper intake. There was shit melted all over it and soot caked on thick. Almost done with that. Tomorrow i gotta take the hood off and clean the underside get all the soot off, sand it because the heat made it look like a dried up dessert cracked all over. I should hopefully have it running again within a week....depending on how fast i can get the new harness. Im about to take some pics of the shredded harnes... Ill take some pics of the car tommorow. I actually think it will look better when im all done than before. Im gonna get some blue wire protector or whatever that stuff is and do up the new wire harness when it gets here. ITs a project for sure. Oh yea...the guy at the junkyard is also pulling the parts.

Umm i had a stock fuel rail so it melted the back of the fuel rail where it was rubber so im just gonna get another one. It was more like a flood than a leak. But it was my fault for rigging my fuel reg in shitty way.
