Crate motor??
Hey guys! i know originally i had said i was getting my small block 302 bulit in to a 347 stroker...but i think i have had a change of heart. I was nervous about going the highest on a stock motor for it being everyday driven and also never being able to add more power in the future without worrying about the block splittng. I think i might as well buy a brand new crate motor completly assembled and ready to basically be dropped into my car. I feel it will be less of a headache instead of ordering 1 part at a time and paying shipping fees out the ass for each part..why not just buy the whole thing with everything i need on it and drop it in? Makes sense to me. I know they are expensive too but i did the math and it will actually cost me just as much if not more to get my motor rebuilt and paying for every single part i will need plus paying someone to do the work...what does anyone think and do you know where i can go fro crate motors...any good sites? Maybe find one cheaper?
thanks,

if you can find a good deal on a crate motor then go for it (maybe on craigslist?)
but sites like proformanceunlimited.com and fordcobramotors.com are a rip off i would go around to performance shops around you and have them build you a motor it will probably be the cheapest (other than doing it yourself) and exactly what you want
