Will a 89 5.0 with a E303 cam and ported heads run on speed density? any way.

I believe it should, the only thing is its expensive to "tune" b/c its not a computer or anything and apparently it takes more time. A guy told me it can cost up to $500, dunno if its true or not though.
But depending on if you can or not, i would try to get my hands on a MAF harnest out of maybe a junker mustang 89-93 or maybe something on ebay and convert it over. Its worth it you will get more proformance out of your ride, plus if ya ever do anymore mods down the road it would prob be a good idea to convert it now if ya can, in the long run its cheaper.

it should have the MAF setup already. '89 was the first year.

89 was mass air.. not speed density and the 3 cam will not work with speed density but there are other cams that will but your car shouldnt be speed density if its 89

you dont have to change over... you can either get 1.7rr with the stock cam and that should help or you can just choose a cam that will work...

the cams in green will work good, and the cams in red or orange will need some tuning... a good all around cam for SD would be the crower 15511 cam, but if you want it to sound lopey forget about it with SD its not gonna happen maybe only a little bit but not much

yes, it will be even milder in a 351 - use the 1.7 rockers if you can. The 15512 would also work in the 351.

just spend the money now and switch to MAF if you plan on doing much more work to it in the future.

The cheapest way would be to go with 1.7 rockers. People have been in the 11's on the stock cam and didn't have to go through the BS of changing it out, you save money cause you didn't have to buy the cam or the MAF kit. Get a set of decent heads and an intake for relatively cheap or save more money.
