Mass air flow....Why should I get a bigger one

I just ordered up a BBK CAI for my 89. I was looking at the Mass Air Flow.

Why should I get a larger one.

What does it do?

Fill me in because I don't know anything about them.

My motor is all stock as of right now.

Larger housing lets more air through, the stock one is like 55mm I believe, not 100% on that, but its small. The electronics are calibrated to your injector size, if you change injectors, you have to either get different electronics cal'd to that size or go into your computer with a tuner and change the MAF properties.
