Some help please- Total newbie here. ;-)

Hi,

I'm a total newbie to both Mustangs, and Car Modding...

I just bought a Mustang 2003 GT Convertible, 5 speed manual.

And I was wondering what I could do to increase the performance/HP/max RPM.

(But I am on a budget for now; wondering what I could do that would cost me under a thousand...)

someone suggested that I get a SCT tuner? (I have no idea what this is/where to get it...)

and a Dyno tune? (which I think has to be done at a mechanics?)

and a Steeda tri axe shifter. (I found the website, but I have no idea what one would do/which one I should buy..)

Basically; I'm a total new guy, and just need some help in what I should read up on, and where I should start...
