flywheel help...


i took off my flywheel to get resurfaced and i dont remember which way the counter weight went some one help please.

Flywheel crank holes are indexed so it will only bolt on one way. Remember to use thread sealer on the bolts or you will leak oil and trash your clutch.

i figured out the index thing but i didnt use thread sealer.. looks like i gutta pull it apart before i bolt up the tranny

i didnt use thread sealer when i did my clutch, never had a problem either, but better safe than sorry ey

Yeah, the crank bolt holes run all the way through. It's not an area that is under oil, but oil splash and crankcase pressure can force some oil out and cause clutch slippage down the road.
