since I'm still new to Fords

I was trying to find and figure out a couple of things, I don't know many 5.0
guys around my town, so I'm asking you guys for some answers
*1st I was trying to figure out how the mass air can tell what injectors you
are running (if its by OHM's, duty cycle, or ?)my mass air is still cali. for 19lbs
but I am going to install 30lbs inj., or if there is a way to fool the mass air
without changing the tube?
*2nd I was just wondering about is if there is any difference between the 93
to 95 GT/cobra heads to the later 90's GTP heads, I'm getting ready to help
a neighbor swap the broken 5.0 out of his Explorer and was going to swap
the heads for my bone stock ones before returning the core, and keep both
my GT's & the GTP's.
just let me know what you guys know

p heads have smaller cc's, diffrent plug angles, smaller(but better flowing) exhaust valves.

you have to either re calibrate the electronics in the maf, computer, or sample tube to get diffrent inj. to work.

OK which heads do you think I should use, my GT heads have .040" shaved
off fo them allready to shrink up the cc's, or if the GTP's would be better, so
far the rest of my engine combo is or is going to be set up as followed
302 short block w/flat tops
E303 cam & springs
1.7 roller rockers
24lb. or 30lb. injectors
trick flow intakes
1 3/4" long tube headers and 3" X piped exhaust
75h.p. shot of laughy gas (if needed)
I do want to get a 70mm or 75mm throttle body
just installed a 3600 stall into the AODE, and set up the 8.8 with some 4.30
gears, mounted up the new 28" et streets
I had just missed out on a set twisted wedge heads this last weekend at our
local swap meet, but did pick up a mass air with extra tubes for 24/30 inj.

use the explorer top end, gt40p heads, and upper and lower intake...you can also mod the throttle body to work too.

as far as the mass air unit. What size is it now? if stock, you might want to consider going up to a 73-76mm MAF and get the 30# sample tube.

you will need different headers to run the p heads though or else you will burn up plug boots. they are kinda high in price.
