Checking PTV clearance with a hydraulic lifter?
Is there a good way to pump up the lifter without running the car or do I have to find a solid lifter to use? The engine isn't in the car and I want to double check the PTV clearance before I bolt the heads on. I was just thinking about the lifter not being pumped up and giving me a false reading.

you need to use a solid lifter or take an old hydrualic lifter apart and make it a solid lifter.
