Speed Density Control Modules???

I am still running speed density but my friend just converted to mass-air and his old SD computer has a superchips chip on it? Has anyone heard of this before on a SD car? and what does it do exactly?

If its just a generic programmed chip, chances are, it does nothing. Unless its a custom burned chip, its a waste of money... or unless they made some kind of generic programming chip that makes speed density more friendly to mods, but I've never heard of that.

If its a blue "superchips", it adds timing, leans out the mix a lil, and causes a computer failure trouble code.

Did he give you the "Octane Bar" that comes with the chip. Kind of looks like a 1/2" wide metal strip with a right angle tab. You need to set base timing at 10* BTC before you install the replacement octane bar. Also, you are supposed to run high octane fuel only with the chip.
