My Stang Wont Start


a few days ago my i was drive my mustang i noticed when i stop and parked my car and then tried to start it up it the engine would just crank but there was no spark the first few trys but then it would get going after maybe 1 or 2 trys but now my car wont start at all. i tried to see if there was any current going to my distributer and there was noting. So if any got any advice or poniters pleas let me know cause i really dont like drive my other car around (which is a bullit green 95 Ford Tarus) from a cop autinon for $450

so pls send help

How did you check your distributer? If you don't have spark, look at the cap and rotor to see if they look worn at the contacts. If so, get a new cap and rotor. Get new plugs and wires while you're at it. If they are already new.. got any friends with mustangs that you could swap coils with? If you swap and it fires right up, you know where your problem is.

It's the pickup coil in the distributer or the module mounted to the side , but because it would not start after it got warmed up i would think the pickup coil

I'd go for that ignition module. My 87 F250 would buck and miss until it would quit at random and not start back up for hours (until the motor cooled down).
