Mixing Rocker Ratios In One Motor
I noticed some people mix 1.6 with 1.7 ratio roller rockers.. actually Summit carries a set of TrickFlow rockers that is mixed.
I'm pretty sure they use those rockers with single pattern cams such as E303 or Steeda-19 in order to increase the lift of certain valves.. my question is which ones? INTAKE or EXHAUST should have more lift? Let's say for Forced Induction application, particularly. This must be a CAM-101 thing for the pro's. |

Come on.. I can't believe nobdoy knows the answer!
I lean towards having more intake lift.. I need somebody's blessings. |

That is all dependent upon what the engine needs and/or what the head flow numbers are. Commonly people tend to put the 1.7s on the exhaust to increase exhaust lift. That is not always the best thing. For example, the cam I had ground for my engine has more lift on the intake side.
