went and bought a taurus fan...


it came out of a SHO and when i got it back and looked at pics on the internet it doesnt look the same. can i just hook up the larger fan and it will be fine?

and does anyone know what the harness coming off the top near the center it for? i planned on taking it off but i was wondering. thanks

iys proly for the temp sensor will that whole shroud fit your raidaitor? if so hook em both up i just hope u have a 130 amp altornator...

yeah it will fit on the radiator just barely. and i do have a 130 amp alternator.

would shucks have a fan relay kit on hand?

just cut the wires that go to the fan motor tie em together put some 10gauge wire going to them from a relay that turns on with the car or hook it up to a temp sensor from autozone they are about $40 and your set. test the wires on a battery to make sure u dont mix it up cause on way the fan will suck and the other way it will blow..

is there a wire under the hood i can tap into to switch the relay when the ignition is on?

89-93 i think is best year for taurus v6 fans on a stang v8..i had a 92 i think once was great had a high wire and a low wire and ran fine on high for a long time.wire it to ya ignition

haha yeah i would probably end up just jumping in my car and take off and not remember about the fan till i smelt that wonderful antifreeze smell...

i did it this winter moving my car into the garage to work on it. packed snow and 351 foxs dont mix very well, especially uphill with no fan on. luckilly the only thing that happened was antifreeze came out of the overflow

look in A taurus fuse box and see what amp is on ya fan..ust that 1..i ran a 20 on it without anything else and a 30 adding a audio set up(avg radio)
