4.6 in a fox
Got a great deal on a 4.6 out of a 99 mustang and 5 speed tranny. was wondering how hard it is to put one of these in a 89 fox, and what has to be done. Computer, and is it the same t-5's that came in the foxes. Thanks.

i would never put a 2v mod motor in it. I would go at least 3v, the 2v mod you may as well stick with the pushrod motor IMO they cant breath for shit.

yeah the same one out of the gt500...would be tight...2v motors are pointless..cound find a nice junked little 99-01 cobra...pull its 4v..slap a kenne bell blower on it and make 500rwhp...that'd be worth it

Guys, the "cool factor" is there with the 4v.. or maybe even a 2v 5.4L. But, the work and labor involved is tremendous. Theres alot of grey areas about these types of swaps that you dont see right away, until the car is already stripped, and you cant turn back. It just isnt worth it for a measely 2v, unless its blown, with an assortment of bolt-ons.

exactly....plus they really dont make anymore power than a 302 with that extra money it costs for the 4.6l swap into it......plus the 5.0's sound better...pushrod technology ftw
