c5/c4 bellhousing casting info


i have a c4 bellhousing i hope # rf-d7bp-7976-aa i waqnna know if its a small bell or big bell and i know its a 77 but i wanna know more on it,any website of just good info would be apreciated..its goin on a 331 stroker..maybe good pics of one

oh, and i think was made from something like 1964?-1986 with a lock up converter. kindof like an improved c4 i believe

oh i see because yea i only heard of c4 and c6 and then c4 cruise o matic or whatever with overdrive gear

i think the c5 is a c4 with a lock up converter for increased fuel economy or something like that. its still a 3 speed

MOTORCRAFT® FULL LINE CATALOG OF PARTS FOR FORD, LINCOLN OR MERCURY VEHICLES try there to look up that part. ive looked all over google for a little while and all i got was vin numbers, but assuming its a ford part, it should be listed on fords website. keyword being SHOULD....

yes it had a lock up converter and better oiling over a c4...same internals basically..but different valve body... i had my c5 converted to a c4 stage 3 set up..all ya do is buy a good c4 kit and change over the vb...the c5 bells are deeper and less desired..
