Just ordered A Lot!

I just ordered (with my sons hard earned money for HIS car) Tons of stuff, im excited to install it for him and we will take it for a nice test drive. Should be mint when we get done with it.

87-92 REAR DISK BRAKE CONVERSION KIT, 4 LUG, WITH STANDARD ROTORS MUSTANG

87-93 BIG BRAKE KIT, 5.0L FRONT 4 LUG, INCLUDES 73MM CALIPERS & BIG BITE DRILLED, SLOTTED, & PLATED ROTORS MUSTANG

87-93 A/C CONVERSION KIT, 5.0L - R-12 TO R-134A, W/ SHORT BELT MUSTANG

How does everything look? I figured i didn't need crazy brakes the car is so lightweight.. As long as i got the Bigger discs up front and decent discs in the rear i think im solid. brand new OEM brakes for the fox aren't even that bad.
The air conditioning.. I dont feel like dealing with the old style crap, since mine has been completely ripped apart anyways. I hope I can just put the r134 shit in my air conditioning comes out COLD! thats what i want. I also just replaced the headliner completely, jet black. The rest of the interior is also Black cloth. The interior is mint condition (literally). I Just received the MGW short throw shifter, and the traction lock rebuild kit as well. Very excited for my son to start driving! My Boy is going to be driving a 5 speed sports car That happens to be extremely quick.

Thanks, No i wouldn't let him get anything yet for the performance. He already has foll bolt ons (long tubes, MAF conversion, no cats h pipe, mac cat back, cold air intake, E303 Camshaft,73mm C&L, 65mm bbk throttle body, No smog pump, No stereo, etc.) so the car is fast even with the 2.73's. before getting the 3.73's i told him you aren't getting them without Doing all four disc brakes. Im sure the 3.73's are going to really wake this puppy up, especially since it is completely bolted on.

breaks look so pretty. I'm in the same boat being 18 with a fox body. I just saved up for a motor that allready has gt40p heads, cobra intakes, and an ecam. With the 3:73's that thing will get down. Put some heads on that car and let the cam come to life.

with 3.73's, youre going to be glad you made him to brakes. that and the brakes are going to hold up better to brakestands.

you should hook him up with a linelock setup to atleast save some of the rear brakes....haha

im an hvac tech. with the a/c you should take it to a shop after u install it to get it leek checked, pumped down, and charged. if u dont u are contaminating the r-134a with the air in the lines and it wont cool as well and may hurt the system. so do yourself the favor pay the price for the local gas station to do a a/c system check

I don't know specifics with different systems but with A/C systems in general, there should be a process that you use a vacuum pump to pull out any air/moisture prior to firing them up. Vacuum pumps vary in price and halogen leak detectors aren't cheap so there is some merit in having someone do the charge for you. As a minimum, I'd at least get a vacuum pump or take it somewhere to draw the vacuum (which can also detect some leaks) and you can fill it yourself.

In my opinion, auto shops charge WAY TOO MUCH for AC work. They are very simple systems.

Again, I do not know specifics with different systems, only some knowledge of different types of refrigeration systems so my advice may not be completely accurate.

Once you actually get the kit, you will probably find some documentation that gives advice on what you should.

thanks though for trying to help. I will definitely look into the vac pump and all. I really appreciate it. Anyone have experience with these brakes? anyone want to make my day and pretend like the car is going to stop really well? it should. Light weight car.

I like the bbk hpipe on my fox... nice and deep and decently loud, using tail pipes not dumps

LOL, the problem with that is just about every combination is already in use and there is not really that big of difference between a lot of different combinations.

Try a y pipe and a glasspack, or different mufflers on each side . That would be different. It would still sound like a Mustang but not like other ones.
