My '88 - RIP

I finally pulled these photos and scanned them in to share. I still mourn the loss of my beloved '88. The first car I ever saved for and bought still holds a huge piece of my heart.

She had 36,000 miles on her when I sold her...always garaged, rarely driven in wet weather - never in the snow.

The bastard who bought her totalled her within 3 days. There is a special place in hell for him.

Don't laugh at the little girl behind the wheel - she is me

Smooooooooooooooch it was a good year sister - that was still when I thought life was all kittens and sunshine. Good memories in that car...

Taken in the fall of '87 - I had one of the first '88s in Indiana...these were taken when I first brought her home.

Hear hear! I think the guy like moved, or joined witness protection or something. I worked for his insurance company - he conveniently never came in again after that. Probably saved his life! lol

I actually ordered it...went in to buy an '87 but they were starting to make the '88s by the time I decided to do it...decided to go that route instead. Saw it when it was still on the truck - watched 'em roll it off and came back to pick it up after clean up. Still relive that memory...left a big ole set a black marks on the pavement on my way off the lot!

that must have been sweet to be the original owner of a fox mustang, especially a 87-93. it kindof blows to trace wires that people have run to...attempt i guess you could call it, to make the car run better, when it does the opposite.

sometimes i wish i was born so i could pick a fox up off the showroom floor

Thanks every one! Yeah, it was the best feeling in the world. I waited so long - I knew everything there was to know about that car - even more than the salesmen at the Ford store! Seriously - I told them what packages I want, what substitutions I wanted instead of standard package stuff and they're like "Uh..you can't get that." I said - "Call the factory - you're wrong." lol I'm not kidding - slept with Mustang magazines under my pillow. I'm sure there are kids out there that do that now...

Couldn't help but shed a tear when I left my 79 Olds Cutlass V8 on the lot though. I was shedding tears of joy about 10 minutes later though...man that car got tons of attention. There was no other like it around for a few months...real head turner that Fox body was!

Thanks for letting me walk down memory lane again guys.
