thermostat


i have a 180 thermostat right now in my car i seem to still run hott.... all my coolant and stuff is filled.... could i put a 160 thermostat in my car. would it through a light in my dash, and would i get proper engine warm up....

The stock gauge sucks. What do you consider hot?
Is it hot when sitting or hot when driving or both? Changing to a lower temp thermostat is not going to solve any overheating or running hot problems unless the thermostat itself is broke.

i have alot done to my car. it says every thing that is done to my car in my garage... i have a 16" electric fan by be-cool

i have an auto-meter sport comp 2-1/16 gauge in my a-pillar
i run at about 195 almost all the time

i agree with nolife, if you have a stock gauge, it aint going to be accurate

buy one that has numbers on it haha, that couldnt have sounded smart

182* is the number the ecu reads as warmed up.

It wont throw a light, it will just let your motor get to temp quicker
