my posi went need help.....


one wheel peel happened to me =(..... im gettin 31 spline axles and c-clips elimantors..... which unit should i buy. tht will be good for street use but won;'t give me any problems in straight line????????(no spool) thnx alot any info is appreciated....

yeah the 8.8 is surprisingly strong..the axles are worth shit really...but what stock ones are on a rear wheel drive muscle car!

If he's going to 31 spline then rebuilding what he has is kind of pointless unless he just wants the practice.......... You could go to a 31 spline truck unit or upgrade to one of the after market units, such as Eaton. What ever you decide on, make sure it is bench rebuildable. Some units have to be sent back to the manufacturer for service. The "C" clip eliminators are a wise upgrade. The only thing worse than a one wheelie peelie is doing it with only one wheel on the rear axle.

i was thinking about going with a detriot tru trac unit or a detriot locker. i heard the locker make a incredible amount of noise. and the tru trac is a limited slip. but works pretty well. not really sure yet..... still have some time to decide

never used an auburn but i havent really heard good things about them, like you have to send them back to the factory to have them serviced, but that might just be here say.

no its true... especially for the e-lockers..

at least ford didnt invent the G80 in about every fbody and truck...and van...
