Clutch cable??

My clutch got wicked stiff and sometime if grinds shifting at high RPM's. The clutch doesent slip and sometimes when i push the clutch in and try to shirt it doesent want to go into gear but then if i let the clutch all the way out and push it back in it will go closer to the floor and shift fine....Is this caused by my clutch cable or another problem??

I was a Camaro freek until i got into a mustang but...It's a 1991 mustang gt 5.0 havent done anything to it yet exept msd distributer and ignition. The clutch doesent slip at all. A few people told me it was the cable binding up but i was just looking for another opinion
