Learned a new trick today

In my quest to find a solid roller lifter to check PTV clearance, I was informed that You can take a hydraulic lifter and flip the plunger in it, effectively making it a solid lifter to check PTV with.... Just a little FYI for anyone interested, or didn't already know this.

$250 for both and I'll include the shipping in that price. The cam is brand new, the injectors I bought used and have never installed them in my car, they are still in the packaging that I bought them in.. I'm going to say they need o-rings just to be safe as they have been sitting dry for over a year now in my closet.

BTW if you flip the plunger it will be like 0.030" off.

.030 high or .030 low?.. and how much of a +/- of .030 are we talking here?.. I might be cutting it close here so I don't want to be right on the edge and then end up being .030 too close and not know it.. any clarification will help.

because you seem too experienced with anal to be only 16.

if you flip the plunger over it will be 0.030" to high as I recall. You'll be able to tell when you look at it.

take a hyd lifter add bb"s in it and makes great solid lifter for ptv..get a check valve spring..stock is easier to not do right first time by gettin in hurry, but add 2-3-4-5 grand to a motor and its better to do right..(ptv check)...
