a mustang with 290 hp and a 350z with 290 hp is no comparison. The mustang will take it anyday. the stock 350 has about 65 hp over a stock mustang. not really a comparison if you ask me, but we barely get beat with alot less hp. Mustangs rule

I'm not a Mustang fanatic, I actually own other cars and one is Nissan Maxima which I'm very happy with.. a fast sedan, reliable, low fuel consumption.. I actually had it slightly modded with CAI & PaceSetter catback.. I thought to myself: hey this is some freaky speedster.. but you know what beat me, no sweat? A bone-stock Chevy Impala V8 LTZ, not even an SS!

it's just that it bothers me.. that some ricers enjoy slandering Mustang GT & other cars -with lies, all lies and no proofs- for the sake of satisfying their lack of guts & their tiny nuts..

there are tons of vids out there of 350s beating GTs
the best one I have seen yet (also 1st one I can think of)
http://videos.streetfire.net/video/b...3100fffd85.htm

and before anyone says the 350 had more mods, a air filter and test pipes (no cats), those 2 mods will only give a Z 5-10 whp at the most
they also raced from a dig and the GT lost by about 3 cars

Like I said in my 1st post I love GTs and thats why I'm on this site, did not come to talk shit or down anyones car. But when I see post like these its hard not to say anything

JKS.. you're welcome to say anything.. as long as you don't say "Rustang" like those guys on that forum

that video was good.. a 260 hp '03 MustangGT with Flowmaster (+10 hp), running with a 290 hp '03 350Z with filter & pipe (+8 hp). Almost stock vs. stock. We already agreed that a stock Z runs faster than a stock GT

Z's have better powertrains from the factory, with higher bhp/liter, 6 speed transmission, center of G.. 13.90's stock.. excellent cars..

but they dont have that potential of GT engines especially when they're modded.. it is rare to see 350Z running in the 11's, but a very common thing for Stangs.

This shitty video was shot by a cellphone by somebody I know from another forum, but you can see the 350Z way back

By the way, that Tungstenizer is a 2006 Mustang GT, manual

it was bone-stock in that video

right now, the only mod he's got is XCalibrator-II (Evo Performance Tune)

p.s. The same owner has got a 2001 Skyline GT-R34

The 05 up GTs run good, it will take a strong Z to beat one

there are tons of 350s in the 11s, even some in the 10s with the stock motor

The reson you don't see it all the time is in the 1st 60ft, LOL. Thats where the GTs kill 350s very easy to make them hook

never said he would hook better, you can tell by your MPH that you have a good 60ft and your MPH is why I say it will be a good run. Stock they will trap about the same in the 1/4 and run a high 14- low 15.

I have never had a 350 come close to me at the track. One would have to be FI to be close to my times. On twisties or top end they would have a distinct advantage. But at the track even bone stock, they wouldn't have touched me.

I post occasionally on my350z.com. I posted up my stock 1/4 times a long time ago without posting any additional info. They assumed it was a Z car and there were several people calling BS. Then I shared with them what my car was. Most of the times I saw posted were lightly modded cars with test pipes, CAI, etc and were running high 13 - low 14s. Many of those guys also upgrade to larger tires/wheels which will also slow them down.

This man speaks the 100% truth...

I beat 350Z's back in the day when I was stock...And that is with a wimpy 2V...On the twisties is where they are home...
