Nissan 350Z vs. Mustang GT?!

I was having a look at that Nissan forum in Nissan 350Z Forum Online Community - Home - Nissan 350Z Motoring.com looking at all those pricks making fun of Mustangs.. how this guy's wife smoked that Mustang GT and how that guy's gardener beat that other Mustang GT... when I did alittle research, I came to the result that the 350Z is a joke!

350Z is a modern delicate speedy street car that handles cornering very well and can beat a old stock 5.0 or 96-98 4.6 GT but nothing more than that.. it is also funny to know that with a 10.3:1 compression V6 engine, with forced induction, on a paper-weight body... the best 1/4 mile time it can achieve is around 12.9 seconds! Pitty!!

I think they made the 350Z to run with Civics.. and yeah, they can be proud of "smoking" a lady-driven 1989 GT with 215 hp and 3300 lbs cuz that's the 350Z level and that is where they belong.

i too thought 350z's were faster than they actually are. taking turns is their specialty (despite what their owners think)

I agree, for 30 grand you can get some slow jap crap or spend 30 grand and make a 10 second stang. Your Choice?

350Z's are a Nissan and are not rotary engined...

Maybe they can pump some balls into the new RX-8 becuase the ysure as f*ck missed out on the last one...

but it doesn't change the fact that your friends enjoy comparing the performance of an old 215 hp Mustang with some CAI & exhaust, to the high performance of a featherweight 2005 Nissan 350Z with 290 hp engine - and probably with a Vortech blower! That is not the way.

and it's funny.. they all CLAIM those victorys & numbers.. no videos, no proofs usually.. I liked what that guy gnxs said "I don't think I ever saw a post and proof (at least not on this site) where that car went faster than 11.6, maybe I'm wrong. Personally, whenever I hear somebody throw in "all day and night", my internal BS monitor goes on alert." He said it all.

I was just saying IMO stock for stock the Z is faster, maybe even mod for mod (the GT will get alot more from mods then any 350Z) but I'm not sure about that.
Just trying to be nice and give you some info on the 350s, they are good running cars for a little V6 that only puts about 240 at the wheels

not sure about the 350's but i think my old 300zx would have staied with my 5.0 and deff beat it on top end. had that thing going just a hair over 160 (very long straight away)

about 3400lbs but some are up around 3600lbs

When my car just had a CAI and X-Pipe I beat 350Z's...For 30K you could have a much much faster car...

They are pretty nice looking cars...

But the stock 5.0 cars might have some issues...But with just basic bolt-ons they could hold there own...
